I got a little creative with this project. I had seen a picture of a set list from a show written or typed on a piece of paper, and figured I'd try to work with that as a base idea. I started out with 4 real images of Angus & Brian, an image of a pencil, a sketch that angus did of himself, and an image of a piece of notebook paper. Using Photoshop, I was able to find an action that made the borders of the polaroid pictures, and placed the real pictures inside. From there, I played with some opacity and shadows and positioning of the elements on the page. Overall I think it came out really well. |

I started with the image of Angus as the base for this one. I chose this image because it looked to be from about 1985, and just looked like a good picture. I had to remove some text from the lower right part of the image, as well as 'build' the bottom part of the body of the guitar, as well as the head of the guitar, which was taken from another image of a guitar altogether. I wanted to play with the depth perception a little bit, so I put a border around the image to help with the viewable/non-viewable areas, and decided to try and put the guitar on top of that, as if Angus was holding it out to you. I had to do a lot of work on the body of the guitar to make it look right, and you'll notice there are no knobs along the bottom. These weren't visiible in the original picture, so I went with what I knew I could do. The last part added was a texture to the border, just to make it stand out a little bit. |
