Again, I started out with a good wallpaper image from UFC.com for this PPV (they have some cool artwork available so I figured I'd use it!). I also found a rough image of a strand of barbed wire. After applying some affects to it, it looked pretty good so I decided to use that as the border for the viewable area. I edited the background image so the outside border was plain white, giving it a nice, clean feel. I added a few sections for the track listing with opacity, and gave them a border to define them a little bit better. I decided to let the background image show through in the small openings in the barbed wire strands; originally I was going to try and use a gradient to try and fade it out, but didn't like the way it looked, so I just left it in. |

This one was pretty plain. Again, I took a wallpaper from UFC.com (sensing a theme here?), and worked with the colors they had set within it. I had to fade out the image higher up than the original due to the fact they had more text in it that I didn't want. I also copied the UFC logo and 'Bitter Rivals' text from the original image and applied a few affects to it to make it stand out more. On the sub-page, I used pretty much the same image, but added the bottom corners to define the viewable area and to break up the black background a little bit. |

Believe it or not, this was my 2nd attempt at creating a menu. I learned a lot from the first UFC menu I did, and decided to put some effort into this one. It took me about a week overall to get it done. I took the Rock Honors logo from an image posted on VH1's site, and then looked for images of the inductees (Queen, Judas Priest, Def Lep and Kiss). I knew what I wanted to do, but needed the right images to pull it off and got lucky finding images I thought fit perfectly. I used a pattern I had found online and tweaked it a bit to change the colors and intensity, then placed the images over it and used opacity and a few gradients here and there to make them look like they're fading in/out. I think the pictures of Freddy and Judas Priest are great, but the Simons pic could have been better. That was the only one I could find where he was looking tough. I originally wanted to put a shot of Jamie Presley in there when she was dressed in an Angus school suit, but couldn't find a decent hi-res image unfortunately. |
